Businesses feel let down by their staff, a report has revealed, with more than nine in 10 employers saying they would change at least one member of staff if there weren’t legal consequences.
In fact, the survey, by online meeting platform Skillzbase, found almost a fifth of employers would ‘happily’ replace their entire team if they could.
Just 8% of employers said they would re-employ their entire workforce, while almost 90% said at least one of their members of staff has behaved ‘completely differently’ to how they behaved during their interview.
More than 60% said they believe employees had exaggerated or lied about their knowledge and experiences on their CV.
Sam Fianu, co-Founder of Skillzbase, said employers need to have more contact with prospective workers.
“As someone who has always been passionate about my work and careful when recruiting members of staff, I find it worrying that so many people are clearly unhappy with their job and so many employers are unsatisfied with members of staff,” he said.
