Businesses in London looking for financial support have a new way of finding would-be investors online.
A new website, g2i.org, will promote the potential in businesses that have successfully completed gateway2investment’s investment-readiness programme.
The site will provide a platform for start-up entrepreneurs to showcase their businesses to targeted members of the investment community.
While the site will continue to provide the first point of contact for companies interested in getting involved with the programme, investors will now also be able to view information, podcasts and multimedia presentations posted by businesses who are taking part.
Organisers say the programme, which is backed by the London Development Agency, has helped to secure more than £21m of private sector funding for London businesses in the three years it has been going.
Ian Shields, manager of the programme, said: “Good communication is vital and the new website will further enhance our ability to bring together those who require funding and the decision-makers who control the purse strings.
“Even those entrepreneurs with credible propositions must strive hard to stand out from the pack and this promises to be a unique showcase of the brightest and best that London has to offer,” he added.
