There are a variety of products on the market, but PC Anywhere from Advanced versions of these products offer secure identification, firewall access and password management features - so you can manage the small office from elsewhere. These types products range from around £29 for single-user licenses up to the thousands for larger corporate licenses. However, these products can now be 'rented' by paying monthly licenses to an ASP (or Application Service Provider). Shop around and take advantage of free use periods before you commit for good.
If you just want email from another location you can use Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) settings or a service such as Mail2web which lets you pick up your mail from any computer in the world.
