Small businesses can access eco-friendly tips and find out where 'green' savings can be made by using a free online tool, it was announced today.
The site, run by Business Link London, offers guidance to small businesses looking for ways to become more environmentally friendly.
Users will complete an anonymous questionnaire, which will reveal how they can stretch their exisiting resources and advise them on how to comply with changing environmental legislation.
A report will be generated which provides tailored support and guidance to businesses on the steps they can take to become more sustainable, and the benefits of doing so.
Andrew Ghijben, client services development manager, Business Link London, commented that businesses can have a significant impact on the environment by becoming more eco-friendly.
He said: “It’s easy to see how we can all be more green in our personal lives but making our businesses more green is often seen as a much bigger challenge.
“With this new tool, small business owners have a one-stop-shop for understanding the business benefits of being green by receiving practical advice on complying with environmental legislation and achieving cost-savings through green initiatives.”
The green assessment tool is free to use and can be found at: www.bllondon.co.uk/gogreen
